Clean and fresh duvets after cleaning

The bed is one of the most comfortable places in the house, and after a long day we like to crawl under the fluffy duvet to completely relax. Of course it is good for hygiene to wash the bedding regularly, but did you know that your duvet need a cleaning once in a while?

Why do duvets need to be cleaned?

It is not visible to the naked eye, but every night you sleep under your duvet, it gets a little dirtier. It can contain dead skin cells and moisture that is released through sweating. This in turn can attract fungi, bacteria and house dust mites, which is of course not very pleasant for your health and comfort. It is therefore better to prevent this for an optimal night's sleep. It is therefore a good idea to air your duvet regularly, and also have it professionally cleaned a few times a year. This way you can enjoy a wonderful night's sleep under a clean and fresh duvet.

You cannot clean duvets in a washing machine

People often choose to wash their duvet in the washing machine, but there are many disadvantages to this. First of all, a duvet is of course relatively large, so it probably won't fit well in your washing machine and dryer. But more importantly; your duvet cannot withstand cleaning in the washing machine. Wool duvets will swell a little due to the water and then shrink again, so that the insulation of the duvet is lost. Also for down comforters it is not a good idea to wash them in the washing machine; this does not benefit the resilience of your duvet. For these reasons, it is wiser to have your duvet cleaned professionally, instead of doing it yourself. Therefore, have your duvet dry cleaned with us at least twice a year, for wonderfully fresh and clean duvets. This way you can be sure that your duvet will last a long time and that you can enjoy a good night's sleep.
